Team Update 9/16

Hello DSG Team Families, 

Here is a quick update for the month of September:

• IMPORTANT: We are organizing a Fall Team Field Trip and Private Campfire at Anderson Farms for Sunday, October 12th from 5-8pm. there is no school the following day, so keep that in mind. . This is for the upper level teams only.  We can get a group rate of $40 per person if we book early, or $50 to include the haunted corn maze for the older kids. This price includes the admission, the campfire site and s'mores. Kids will have to bring spending money if they want to purchase other items at the farm. We can also organize some carpools for pick up and drop off. We will have several coaches there, but a few parents are welcome to attend if they choose to. the group rate only goes up to 74 people, so if we go past that, some parents may have to purchase individual admission. The sign up form is here:Fall Team Anderson Farms Sign Up. I would appreciate all who plan to attend to sign up this week so we can reserve our spots because they do fill up. 

• Team Jackets: We will be ordering new team jackets. Sizers will be in the office starting 9/22 through the end of the month. There is also an example jacket in the office.

• Leotards: We are keeping the same leotards as last year, all new DSG athletes gold and up reach out to Adrie as we are trying to find former athletes' to sell back their leotards for this upcoming season. 

• Skills Assessments: We will be assessing all teams throughout the month of October in order to make level determinations for the upcoming season. Please review the Xcel Skill and mobility chart to better understand what we are looking for: Xcel Skill and Mobility Chart

• Make ups: Please keep in mind as we enter flu, cold, and soccer season (haha) that make ups are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. We have limited space for make ups on Saturdays, so please reach out and request if you would like a make up. 

• Floor Routine choreography: September through mid-October we will be wrapping up choreography for the Gold, Platinum, and Diamond teams. You will be contacted when your athlete's name is sent to a choreographer. Please be patient as we have many, many athletes to get in for choreo. 

• Save the Date: Trick or Treat Street Saturday, October 25th 2:30-4:00pm
