Hello New Bronze families!
I hope everyone's first two weeks of summer practice have gone well. June is always an exciting time in the team program as we are forming new groups and entering our skill-training phase of our training cycle. Thank you to the families who were present at the parent meeting (although the hail made it more difficult to hear). I am going to attach the team handbook, which includes our team rules and policies. I am also attaching the 2025/2026 Practice Schedule and Tuition/Fees. Please review this information and sign the rules and policies, the link to the e-signature is on the cover sheet of the handbook.
Here are some key points from our meeting:
-Team is a 12 month training cycle with continuous enrollment. Make ups are not guaranteed, but can be requested and will be granted in availability allows. If an injury requires more than 8 weeks of no activity, your account will be paused until they get clearance form their doctors.
-In June you will receive an invite from USA Gymnastics. Upon receipt, please sign your athlete up and purchase a USAG Women's program membership, then request to be associated withe the Denver School of Gymnastics. This is imperative so that we can enroll your athletes into competitions.
-Please refer to dsgbounders.com for all team information, this is team specific website with an un updated calendar as well as an archive of our team update. You can also find links to the private lesson sign ups, team merchandise, and the team handbook near the bottom of the homepage. At the very bottom of the home page, you can also download our app through Spaces and get push notifications when important updates are sent out.
-As a new member of our team, your athlete can now attend open gyms and can sign up for private lessons with our team staff. Open gyms always occur on Sundays from 10-11:30 and occur July-Feb 3 Sundays per month. These dates are posted to the calendar at dsgbounders.com
-The competition schedule for our Spring season will come out in July. We will do 4 regular season meets plus the state meet. (The state meet is billed separately) Each competition on the schedule will indicate the entire weekend's dates. Your athlete will only be schedule for one session over that weekend, a session is about 2.5-3.5 hours. Exact times won't come out until about 4 weeks before each meet.
-Your athlete will be automatically enrolled in the entire season. We need to know before we run meet fees in January if your athlete cannot attend a meet that weekend. Once fees are run, we cannot get a refund as we have reserved and paid for spots at the meet. The meet fees will be calculated in December and billed in January. They will run in the ball park of $450-525 and include meet enrollments and coaching fees for the entire season. The state meet has its own associated enrollment and coaching fees depending on who qualifies and participates in the state meet.
-Uniforms will be ordered in September or October and take about 8-10 weeks to deliver. The entire uniform cost will run 250-350 to include leotard and sweats.
-There will be routine clinics in the late fall/ early winter which will be required and will be where your athletes will come to learn their routine choreography for beam and floor. These are $25 per clinic, and there will be 2 of them. If your athlete misses these clinics, there will be a make up clinic they can attend.
Thank you, and Welcome to DSG's Team!
